Wi-Fi won't connect or is slow

No internet, a connection that keeps dropping, or slow speeds.

6 stepsFrom our US support team

First, check how your PC connects: a small USB Wi-Fi adapter, or a Wi-Fi card with antennas lower on the back.

With a USB Wi-Fi adapter

  1. Use a blue USB port
Plug the adapter into one of the blue USB 3.0 ports on the back. Don't see an adapter? It came in the box with your PC.
  2. Compare with another device
Make sure your phone or another device is online. If the PC is slow, run a speed test on both.
    Open speedtest.net
  3. Other devices work fine?
Then the adapter is likely the problem. Contact us and we'll ship you a new, more powerful adapter with free 2-day shipping.

With a Wi-Fi card

  1. Update the Wi-Fi driver
Download the driver and open it. Select Yes, then Next, accept the agreement, and select Install, then Finish.
    Download the Wi-Fi driver
  2. Restart your PC
Restart, then connect to your network again.
  3. No internet to download it?
Connect an Ethernet cable from your router, or contact us and we'll mail you the driver on a USB drive.
Back of your PCA USB Wi-Fi adapter goes in a blue USB port. A Wi-Fi card has two antenna connectors lower down.
