Games run slower than expected

Low FPS, stuttering or lag in games.

3 stepsFrom our US support team

Start with the monitor cable. It's the most common cause of low FPS.

  1. Use the graphics card ports
If your monitor is plugged into the ports near the top, games run on the processor's graphics instead of your graphics card. Move the cable to the graphics card, lower on the back.
  2. Update your graphics driver
Install the latest driver with the NVIDIA app or AMD Software.
  3. Set your refresh rate
Go to Settings, System, Display, Advanced display and choose the highest refresh rate your monitor supports.
Back of your PCPlug your monitor into the graphics card ports, lit up here. The ports marked with an X won't show a picture.

Still slower than it should be?

Contact us with the game, your settings and the FPS you're seeing, and a technician will email you to tune it.
